CAMBA + Art Connects New York​

​On Tuesday April 21st there was a Special Reception for Brooklyn Lives: Selected Prints. The Art of Tim Okamura, a New Permanent Exhibition Curated by Dexter Wimberly for the CAMBA Adult Literacy Center
 
Tim Okamura, a painter of Canadian-Japanese heritage and a longtime Brooklyn resident, skillfully portrays the rich, multicultural communities of his urban surroundings. His compelling portraits will beautify the Literacy Center, reflect CAMBA's diverse constituency and instill confidence in adult students who are striving to create a better life for themselves and their families.
 
Dexter Wimberly is an independent curator who has exhibited the works of hundreds of artists in the U.S. and abroad. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he is a passionate collector and supporter of the arts.
