About Us
At the CAMBA Education Center, we focus on the needs of adult learners, including immigrants with limited English language skills, who are committed to improve their skills (English, Mathematics, Technology, and Job Readiness) so that they can achieve their educational and career goals. Our teaching methodology aims at preparing participants to effectively apply their skills in various daily real-life contexts. The center’s case management team has many years of experience and a wide-range list of contacts that enable the staff to immediately connect participants to the most relevant program at CAMBA or at other service providers so that they can get the assistance they need to solve employment, health, housing, legal, daycare, and other personal or family problems. The center makes use of the latest technology to train and prepare participants for the modern learning environment and workplace. Each classroom has a networked computer with Internet access, a printer, and a digital projector. In the center’s technology lab, participants use computers and other technical equipment to complete class assignments, practice literacy and test-taking skills, learn about the latest job trends, prepare resumes and cover letters, find suitable training programs, and fill out college and/or job applications. The CAMBA Education Center has a consistent waiting list of over 300 individuals for its morning (9 am to 12 noon), afternoon (1 to 4 pm), and evening (5:30 to 8:30 pm) classes that are offered throughout the year from Monday to Friday.
